Building 3-D Forms with FOSSHAPE® with Bonny

Saturdays, September 20th AND 27th - 11am to 3pm each day

In-person:

The cost of the workshop is $475 - Most supplies included for in-person attendees but bring acrylics and  any additional textiles, you'd like to use for collage, for day two.

Zoomers:

The cost of the workshop is $400 - all supplies links and payment options are below.

FOSSHAPE®  is a unique felt-like, heat activated fabric used to achieve rigidity  and surface enhancement in the making of 3-D forms. It can be cut with  scissors, dyed, heated and sewn. The surface can be enhanced with dyes,  acrylics and collaged textiles. I have been using it for years in  building forms (sculptures) and incorporating them into my installations  and exhibitions.

Day One:

Dye and cut FOSSHAPE®

Work with the FOSSHAPE® in planning our forms.

Use a variety of techniques with heating and sewing to get forms started.

Over the week, you can continue these methods, preparing for Day two.

Day Two:

Bring the work in progress

I will go over each piece, discussing next steps

We will work with the pieces to continue attaching parts

Finished form will then be optionally ready to paint and/or collage thin textiles.

Although  several of the pieces pictured here were done using black(ish) dyes and  acrylics, many dye colors are available – links to the dyes and all  supplies are below.

FOSSHAPE®  forms are relatively light weight and you can continue your FOSSHAPE®  journey building large, small or multi-part forms moving forward.

Participants  will come away with a working knowledge of how to use and further these  processes and are welcome to reach out for a deeper dive in One on Ones with me.
