I'm super excited to be offering a whole new program this year!
at The Bonny Studio and Encaustic Center spaces - 5 days, just for you!
In this completely customizable program, we will be building your Studio Residency to explore and indulge your specific interests.
We'll start off with a Zoom visit to plan your Studio / Residency experience, delving into any number of processes, materials and techniques. The Studio / Residency includes full access to supplies and equipment and includes demos, precious time to make art, helpful input, guided research and gallery and museum visits.
The residency is also a time where we discuss ideas and concepts that will build your vision and unearth your deeper "why". You'll produce work, setting you on a stronger, more open trajectory - one you can grow with.

After our initial Zoom visit,
The daily schedule will look something like this:
Day One and Two will start off with a discussion and demos in the morning, then a few hours for you to work freely and independently. We'll then follow that up with an early afternoon session, discussing the work and move into more demos based on our discussion and the work. We'll parse out strengths to build on and I'll suggest and introduce additional materials and techniques moving forward. Then, you'll have more studio time. At the end of the day, we'll talk about the work and our approach for the next day.
Day Three we'll do a day of Galleries and Museums. I'll plan to bring you to spaces I feel would best relate to your trajectory. We'll discuss and delve into the work, the artists, and the institutions.
Day Four and Five, we'll come back to the studios fresh, for more demos, discussions and art making. I'll also be encouraging ways to journal and research to strengthen and further your practice.
Midway through Day Five, we'll gather your work to see it all together and view it as a body of work. For those who are interested, we can discuss professional practices, a web presence, artist statement, submitting work for exhibitions etc. If you have that already going, we can move to working on proposals etc. We'll also be discussing ways to move forward with the work after the Studio / Residency.
You will receive an email with clickable links to all the materials you use and a summary of our time together including gallery links, recommended podcasts, books and more. After taking this Studio / Residency, you will be qualified to use any of the materials and equipment in independent workdays at the studio and we can continue building on any aspect of the work with One on Ones.
