An all new, very special four-hour Encaustic Monotype session working on the Hotbox with all of my large R&F and special hand mixed encaustic paints!
We'll be working on various gorgeous papers, in a variety of sizes including Kozo, Mulberry and Masa!
The session is limited to 5 people only!
Saturday, February 22nd, 2025 from 11am to 3pm
The cost of the workshop is $275 - all supplies included but you are welcome to bring any natural, non-coated papers, encaustic paint, watercolor or PanPastels. Additional paint and paper supplies, other than what's provided, can be purchased at the workshop.
Monotypes
I'll be guiding you through a freeing, expressive approach to art making. Learn the many ways of layering and mark making while tapping into your natural rhythm and movement.
Monotypes are an original, one of a kind, printmaking process of laying down your paint, in this case, on a heated surface with encaustic paint, and then gently laying the paper down to pick up the beautiful painting created there. You'll then have the opportunity for additional layers and working back into the piece with more encaustic paint, PanPastels or watercolor. The pieces can be used for collage material or stand alone works.
No experience required!
