The workshop focuses on deepening our understanding of color, color mixing and color relationships.
If you have ever wondered how to mix harmonious color or wanted to learn more about its magic and what it can communicate, this is the workshop for you! Join Jane Cornish Smith for a 2-day immersion into the basics of color and its many effects.
Jane will take her experience teaching color theory at the university level and direct it into a fun and accessible workshop. Participants will explore the color wheel, light and dark value, various color palettes, mixing neutrals, the use of transparent and opaque hues, veiling, and glazing. Workshop artists will also create harmonious compositions in cold wax medium and oil that can be taken home.
