Dive into a multitude of processes utilizing Alcohol Inks, Brusho Colors, ArtGraf, Watercolor, Acrylic and Oils, on Yupo, Translucent Yupo and Cradled Birch Boards along with some Collage work, as well. This multilayered approach allows the artist more flexibility and options to best retain previous layers and build on their qualities. Working with these various water, alcohol and oil based materials in various succession is key to achieving these nuances with depth, line and light.

Any art or photo references you'd like to be inspired by as you work - could be landscape, abstract, figurative etc - printouts are best on regular copy paper or books are fine too. I have references here as well.

Bonny Leibowitz Bio:
Leibowitz produces objects, installations and paintings where forms collide and conjoin in myriad nuance and potential. She utilizes a variety of materials including Tyvek, Plaster, Vinyl, plastics, foam, wax, Latex, ink, tree roots and branches, handmade paper, mulberry bark and more.
Her solo exhibitions include The MAC in Dallas, The Art Gallery, Collin College in Plano, TX, The Baugh Center for the Visual Arts at Mary Hardin-Baylor University, Belton TX., No.4 Studio in Brooklyn, NY, The Neon Heater in Findlay, OH., Liliana Bloch Gallery in Dallas, TX, Art Cube Gallery in Laguna Beach, CA, The Museum of Art, Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX, Cohn Drennan Contemporary in Dallas, TX.

In 2020 Leibowitz created The Visitation Project incorporating her work, digitally, into images of environments sent by artists from all over the world.

Leibowitz has participated in residencies with Judy Pfaff and Michael David culminating in group exhibitions in Brooklyn, NY at M. David & Co.

Cancellation policy:
A $100.00 non-refundable non-transferable deposit holds your space. In the event of cancellation after the balance is paid in full, $TBA will be refunded to In-Person registrants and $TBA to Zoomer registrants if someone from the waiting list is able to attend. If The Encaustic Center needs to reschedule the workshop and you are unable to make the new date, a refund or transfer credit is honored.
